I send love

Dear Beloved Blog Readers,

I know it’s been a while, and I’ve been thinking of you all so much. Emily tells me that some of you have been asking about me and wondering how I am.

There is so much good in my life: Andrew, my fantastic communication partner; my new family; and a wonderful sense of independence. At the same time, for the past year and a half, I have been fighting cancer. Unfortunately, we did not catch it in time, and now I am in hospice.

Despite this, I have not let it deter me from continuing my communication journey. I’m proud to share with you this video I created with my advocacy group, Champlain Voices. (see below)

If you feel inspired, please send me happy messages. My email is uttercommunication@gmail.com.

Fondly,

Mark

Emily’s note- This blog post is a collaborative effort written by Mark, Emily, and Andrew, based on discussions about the current details of Mark’s life. Mark reviewed different versions, selected the ones he liked, and gave his approval to the final post and then wrote the title, ‘I Send Love.’

Jonathan Berger Displays the Power of Love One Letter at a Time

Fine Beloved Blog Readers,

Happy Holidays to you all.

Joy is in me today when I say that I am very pleased with the show at Harvard. Jonathan Berger's Introduction to Nameless Love is an amazing feat.

For a guy like me who slowly gets letters out, it is a wondrous celebration of quite equally impressive production. Thousands of tin letters make up this show.

Emily and I have our long-time working relationship on display in the form of edited interviews and a dramatic piece of writing. It shares a room with two other explorations of life through words.

I am delighted with this review by Cate McQuaid. Please take a look as it will walk you nicely into Jonathan's work. You can find it here.

Let's get back to you, dear blog readers.

Now, I am going to share with you a dear fairy that Emily created that supports a thing I created for the dramatic text I created for this beautiful show that is the outcome of years of work by Jonathan Berger.

Fairy Gift Card- Miracle.jpg

The 'Miracle of Miracles' is something we all need and we will soon be experiencing it and it will enhance our lives greatly.

This thing will arrive in our lives in curious ways. You might experience some misfortune or a haze might descend over you. Have no fear, the 'Miracle of Miracles' will arrive in little pieces and grow into your life.

Oh, it will.
I am really thinking of you all moving into your holidays with ease that allows time for thinking and dreaming.

Fondly,

Mark

Harvard Bound

Dear Beloved Blog Readers,

I am so excited to be in touch with you today.

For a little while I have been wanting to tell you about an exciting exhibit Emily and I are a part of.

We have been in a long conversation with Jonathan Berger, a fascinating man from a World of Art and Totally Real World with Eccentric People. He got interested in us while Emily was supporting me in making my movie.

We are honored to have our transformative relationship in this amazing show that will open at Harvard's Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts in the middle of the month. You can read more about it here.

The other thing I am excited about is the happy opportunities that are arriving on the back of opportunity knocking. Oh, for these I am so thankful.

They are my opportunities to use my mind to communicate with others with my iPad and Yes/No board which joyfully I did at the UVM Medical Center's Communication Expo last week.

And, next week I will meet with students from Edmunds Middle School about my movie and then I will start my Mentor Mark time with the Bridging students at Champlain Community Services.

I'm really thankful for this bounty.

Now, completely on a different topic I want to wish you a happy day in every way.

So, check out the exhibit. I will go to the opening and will fill you in with my impressions of it.

Easy, fun, fond days to you all,

Mark
